Our Team

Richard L. Fisher, M.S., CPA, CIA, CMA, PFS, ChFC:
Dick Fisher is the CEO of Red Hills Fishery. He holds both undergraduate and graduate accounting degrees from The University of Virginia, and has extensive corporate finance experience, having served as the President and CEO of Dunavant Capital Management for over 20 years, and a Director of Tudor Investment Corporation since 1990. Dick has led Red Hills from inception throughout its current missions, hand-picked all of his Red Hills colleagues, and he leads all strategic, financial, legal and professional aspects of the company. Dick has been surrounded by fishing and waterfowling landscapes his entire life, and he resides with his wife in Memphis, TN.
Joshua C. Sakmar, B.A., B.S., M.S.:
Josh Sakmar is the Director of Biology and Infrastructure at Red Hills. He has undergraduate degrees in Biology and Psychology and completed a MS in Environmental Science and Policy at the University of South Florida, with a focus on the role of fish culture in the management of native Florida bass populations. Prior to joining Red Hills, Josh spent 14 years working as a biologist and production manager for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) at The Florida Bass Conservation Center (FBCC) in Webster, FL. While working at the FBCC, his efforts were recognized by the FWC, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the Association of Fish and Wildlife Agencies and the American Fisheries Society (AFS). Josh is a member of the AFS’s Fish Culture and Genetics Sections and he resides in Tallahassee, FL with his wife, son and daughter.


Steven R. Wisdom, B.A.:
Steven Wisdom is the Director of Sales and Business Development at Red Hills; he is a graduate of Samford University with a degree in Communication Studies. Since beginning his business career in Birmingham, AL, Steven has personally founded and served in executive capacities at numerous successful private start-up companies, including several whose product lines involve hunting and fishing focuses. The largest of those is GRIP Feed Company, a manufacturer and distributor of a proprietary feed for whitetail deer and other wildlife. Steven has been an avid fisherman and hunter (especially waterfowling) his entire life, and for nine years he fished professional bass tournaments across the United States. Steven resides in Birmingham, AL with his wife and children.
Allen G. Nicholls, B.S.:
Allen Nicholls is the Hatchery Manager at Red Hills Fishery. He completed a Fisheries Science degree at Auburn University, with an emphasis in Aquaculture. During college, Allen worked at the E.W. Shell Fisheries Center, which shifted his interest from fisheries management over to aquaculture. Prior to joining Red Hills, Allen served as the Production Manager for a commercial tilapia production facility located in Mississippi; as a Hatchery Biologist for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission in Webster, Florida; and as Hatchery Manager with the Alabama Department of Conservation and Natural Resources at the Marion State Fish Hatchery in Marion, Alabama. Allen has been certified by the American Fisheries Society as an Associate Fisheries Professional. Allen resides in Boston, GA with his wife and children.
